INDS521-01* Trends and Issues in Instructional Design and Technology

Trends and Issues in Instructional Design and Technology is an exploration of the dynamic landscape of educational technology and instructional design.  It is a critical analysis of current trends, emerging technologies, and ethical considerations that shape the field.  Students will cover topics such as adaptive learning, microlearning, blended and online learning, virtual and augmented reality, gamification, and the integration of AI.  This course also encourages reflection on the ethical implications of technology in education, fostering the skills to navigate complex issues surrounding privacy, equity, and accessibility. Students will be equipped to anticipate and respond to the changing needs of learners in diverse contexts
